Menopause: a blooming summer
Menopause is often surrounded by social taboos, leading to misconceptions and stigmatization. This natural phase in a woman's life is frequently depicted negatively, emphasizing symptoms like mood swings and physical discomfort while ignoring the broader context and individual experiences.
We are pleased to see that societal trends are shifting from viewing women's health as a taboo subject to encouraging open discussions through educational initiatives. This study leverages speculative design and participatory design to create a public forum where participants can openly share their menopause experiences and their expectations for an ideal supportive environment.
